GOOD SHEPHERD CHILD CARE CENTRE is a Christian community
based organization that was started in 2005 and registered by the District
community development Department of Masaka.
This was the dream of John Ssentamu is a teacher by
profession since 1998 to date. He worked with government schools since 1998 to
2004 when is left to nurture is dream of seeing a christian community based organization
that fill the gap between the well and poor families in the area regardless of
the gender, race or creed.
GSCCC intends to provide a stable, Christian family home and school
for children who are abused, neglected, orphaned, troubled, or poor; and those
from dysfunctional families.
GSCCC is committed to serving those living in abject poverty
by providing practical and affordable methods to develop self-sufficiency
through life-changing projects.
Location:
GOOD SHEPHERD CHILD CARE CENTRE is located in the central
region of Uganda,
southern part of the Equator. It is in Masaka District.
Sixty thousand (60,000) orphans are estimated to be in our area of operation
though Universal Primary Education has played some part to eradicate ignorance
and Illiteracy. There still un reached children with the UPE campaign due to
lack of some school requirements that are not met by the government.
Mission:
To partner with the family, institutions, churches and
charities to lead the needy orphaned, neglected and abandoned
children to spiritual, mental, social and healthy nurturing environment
Vision:
To reach the broken hearted, forgotten, neglected and the
abused children of our community spiritually, intellectually and social with
the tangible love of GOD to give them a future and hope.
Statement of Faith: We believe the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments,
to be the inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings, the
complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men and the Divine and
final authority for all Christian faith and life. We believe that the ministry
of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ and, during this age, to
convict men, regenerate the believing sinner, and indwell, guide, instruct and
empower the believer for Godly living and service |
